Doctor of Distinction-UCONN Teaching Award

Sean McKeon, MD of Radiology Associates of Hartford, PC has been chosen by UCONN Health Center’s Department of Radiology and Residency Program to be the recipient of the “Teacher of the Year 2009” award for best teacher from Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center.
The University of Connecticut School of Medicine/St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center Integrated Residency Program in radiology is a four year training program in diagnostic imaging.
The four year training program in Diagnostic Imaging is a competency based curriculum with a goal of providing extensive training in all the subsections of radiology including interventional radiology. The curriculum is divided into the nine subsections including:
- Abdomen, Chest, Mammography
- Musculoskeletal Radiology
- Neuroradiology, Nuclear Medicine
- Ultrasound
- Pediatric Radiology
- Vascular and Interventional Radiology
The Diagnostic Radiology program is designed to provide a resident with extensive training in all aspects of diagnostic imaging. The goal is to train a competent, well rounded diagnostic radiologist.
